Moths and reptiles, insects and birds seem to have no confusion.
With Ws and Zs
their chromosomes lead
to a simple, straightforward conclusion.
But oh no; the human species is different, can’t keep anything simple.
Some we call guy,
some we call gal,
so some get stuck in the middle.
It’s in the translation of Xs and Ys, where things can get fouled up.
‘Cuz every XY,
is labeled a guy,
but the labeling causes the rub.
And when we label an XX a gal, again we’re looking for trouble.
Just skip the translation,
avoid the temptation,
saying girl can make it a puzzle.
So label each washroom XX or XY, and you’ll know which one is for you.
‘Cuz if you’re confused
on which one to use,
your chromosomes give you a clue.
But if you still choose to live as the other, that of course is fine.
Just don’t neglect,
to show due respect,
on the other side of the line.
